Hello everyone, I am back, about 10 pounds lighter and feeling optimistic. Here is  what I’ve done. First I have cut out as much sugar from my diet as I can, success. I have now started eating a ton of raw fruits and vegetables. Then finally I have started doing yoga. I have to say other than my hangover from last night, I feel great.
This is what I’ve learned. Beer is delicious and some of the other things I have been eating are just okay. So I am compromising. More stuff I love and less stuff I don’t. Instead of frying food I have been baking. Taking my lunch to work has helped a ton. I found snacking on nuts fruits and vegetables is far more satisfying than a small back of chips from the vending machine. My wife and I take turns putting stuff together for lunch while we are making dinner. Also, I have been eating several small meals each day and not 3 squares. This keeps my hunger under control. I found that bananas grapefruit and apples are pretty filling and have almost no calories. Most important they have a ton vitamins. I try to keep this rule in mind, more fiber, less calories a little natural fat like in avocados and a whole lot less sugar.
I have to honest, sometimes I am hungry and fighting the urge to go off and have a big hamburger is out there, but for the most part as I watch my progress it is easy to say no. I have had some great beers over the last few weeks. Great Lakes Eliot Ness to name one, and that makes it all worth while.
Well that’s it for now. Remember beer is food. Let it replace bread in your diet. That’s the way Egyptians did it. In fact I am sure I heard someone in Mexico tell me some people call Carte Blanca bread.
More to come soon. I will pass along some good eats on my next post.
